The seminar explores the Ganzfeld phenomenon through the lens of VR technologies. You will research James Turrell’s spatial and cognitive works of art. Your task is to use the knowledge gained through your research (built analog and digital models) to develop new Ganzfeld spaces for VR/AR experiences modeled in Rhino 3D and visualized with Twinmotion for Meta Quest VR headsets. Depending on the results, we may exhibit the projects throughout the OTH Campus for the public to experience your works.
The project requires an open mind and a desire to experiment to discover new architectural media potentials.
